To Juice or Not to Juice - Green Juice

Juicing is a pretty powerful way to clean out the body and provide many needed nutirents.

And, there's a great documentary called Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead which follows one man's journey to use juicing to turn around his life and how it also winds up insiring and helping the life of others. It’s free to watch online in the US, and it’s also on Netflix. Watch it Here: Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead Documentary

OHI - The Optimal Health Institute in San Diego, California and in Austin, Texas uses juicing as their primary dietary protocol in helping people from all over the world heal.

To Juice or Not to Juice....

I juiced every morning for 13 years. I would wash all the produce, then proceed to use a twin gear juicer to slowly press the juices, which is meant to keep the nutritional value intact and keep it from oxidizing as quickly.... but it's not a quick process like the convection juicers. So, one day, I had the opportunity to use a tool that measured the content of minerals in the juice... meaning its potency. I was shocked to find out that the fresh pressed Power Greens Suja juice was higher in minerals than my toiled over freshly pressed juice. What??? Perhaps it was the Chorella in the Suja juice, but it didn't matter. I love green juice, but I also love my time... so I now buy only cold pressed juices like Suja and some Evolution or go to a juice bar. I say "find what works for you in your schedule". Perhaps the ritual of juicing is a good one that I needed for that 13 years, and I am so happy that good juices and juice bars are now availble almost everywhere!

Nutrition or Nuts

Diet and nutrition has the power to heal the body but also to drive you nuts. Are you finding joy and healing benefits from your nutritional routine? There are so many different beliefs about what you should and shouldn't eat. I have seen diets for blood type, for your DNA type, liquid diets, fasting, no carbs, no fats, no sugar, raw foods, no animal products, and everything in between. I think each person needs to find what is right for them and their body. Often, we are unhealthy because of why we eat, not just because of what we eat..... meaning... boredom, stuffing, numbing, coping, etc. Anyway, if you feel drawn to juicing, give it a try. If you are just drawn to juice, then try some fresh pressed juice from a health food store or a juice bar.

May your diet and nutrition support your health!
